Do you know whats great? A company honoring a Hero. Kevin Pannell. This shirt is in his honor. Here is Kevin's Story: From 2003 to 2004 Army SPC Kevin Pannell served in Iraq with the 1st Cavalry Division. Kevin was injured in Sader City when insurgents ambushed him in an alley and simultaneously lobbed two grenades at his feet. Treated immediately by his medic, Brandon Lawig, he survived, but ultimately underwent 13 operations including the amputation of both of his legs (Left Above Knee/Right Below Knee).
Despite enduring the dual amputations, slight TBI, nerve damage in right arm, and hearing loss, Kevin still manages to embody the Oscar Mike spirit by remaining "on the move" in every aspect of his life. Kevin could have been slowed down by an injury like his but instead became a full time student, started writing a novel and (believe it or not) took up the sport of snowboarding, which he now loves.
According to Kevin the hardest part of being injured that day wasn't becoming a double amputee, but rather knowing he wouldn't be returning back to his brothers in Iraq. Despite Kevin's life changing injuries, he is still motivating countless people with his relentlessness and positivity. Show your support for SPC Kevin Pannell and let him know he is truly deserving of the term "hero".
