Sourced directly from the United States Marine Corps. These jackets came from the Camp Lejeune dry cleaner and tailor as part of a surplus auction. This is the official issue dress green jacket used when in garrison. It is the Marine Corps equivalent to a civilian business suit.

It is a component of the Service "A" (or Alpha) uniform which is the base uniform of a Marine serving on garrison duty. The Service Alpha uniform consists of this green coat, green trousers with khaki web belt, khaki long-sleeve button-up shirt, khaki tie, tie clasp, and black shoes. The coat is cut to be semi-form fitting so measure yourself accurately. Ribbons and marksmanship badges are worn on the left chest of the coat.
